Jessi CruickshankHostJonathan Van NessGuestJasonHostI am healing now that I can finally talk to you, Jason, and literally anybody who is willing to talk to me about the Nathan Fielder, Elizabeth Holmes documentary.
And Nathan and I kind of really did become close when we both moved to L.A. around the same time.
There was like a certain point because I was living with Evan, who was my boyfriend at the time.
And Nathan and I would like walk to 7-Eleven and get Slurpees because it was it felt like a very nostalgic high school activity that we used to do.
And it got to a point eventually where Evan was like, I'm sorry, like, who is this Nathan guy that you keep? hanging out with like should I be worried should I be threatened and I kept saying like oh no no don't worry it's fine and then eventually Evan and Nathan met and Evan was like oh okay yeah carry on go ahead yeah go and get your slurpees not threatened at all although now maybe he should be because someone just forwarded me an article saying like why is Nathan Fielder so sexy it's just crazy to see what is happening around this very close friend of mine and this incredible film he made.
Me too.
Because, you know, and I mentioned this on the pod when the trailer came out, I want to say like six months ago, Nathan invited me to come to a test screening of this film.
And I knew that he was making it back in 2023 but it was like we couldn't I couldn't even talk to my friends about it like he told me very privately that he was shooting this thing with Elizabeth Holmes and then six months ago I saw the film with like 10-15 other people and I was so blown away I was like what the fuck did I just see and I could not stop thinking about the movie and honestly I didn't know what to think and I kept thinking that I was maybe stupid for not knowing what to think or not getting it and And so I asked Nathan to do another test screening so that I could bring Evan and some friends so that he did another one for us.
I frantically text you, Jason, to go and see it because we need to talk about it.
