And I've a couple of things I wanna put to you about Jim O'Callaghan before you tell me what you think of his performance and his potential suitability to be leader of Fianna Fáil and Taoiseach.

The first is, I thought he had a major own goal this year in relation to the fuel protests, when he threatened to send out the army and didn't do so, and I thought that was a major own goal in that if you're going to flex tough, you have to be tough.

And when you have things like the army units in Collins Barracks in Cork, instead of going down to Whitegate to deal with the protesters, heading up to Kilworth to do army exercises-

That said, I think, and again, there may have been developments between the time we record this and this is, uh, viewed and heard by, uh, Path to Power listeners and viewers, but, um, he's done well in relation to standing up to the vested interests of the solicitors, and I think that goes down well with voters, that he's able to point out, "Look, there's an enormous amount of additional money been spent each year on free legal aid."
