Minister for Children, Disability and Equality

And the point I want to make about our politicians is, of course, if you look at that story, if you go around all the media and you listen and you read all the coverage of that story, if you Google it, you know, you can Google it, you'll find it, Google Tusla family Dublin court, whatever, you'll find it.

You will not find in any single one of those news reports is the name of the Minister for Children.

Who's the Minister for Children? It's Norma fucking Foley.

Now, if you do a Google search for Norma Foley, you'll find Norma Foley opens this in Donegal.

Norma Foley awards grant here.

It's one of the single biggest line items in the budget.

This is an organization that has engaged in failure after failure after failure.

And you know what really disgusts me here is she didn't even have the gumption to put out a press statement saying, I, as Minister for Children, am disgusted and appalled by what has happened in this case.

So I think that that's actually been one of the most cloak and dagger measures in this budget.

And I'm sure there are frank and robust and as much the Minister for Children, Norma Foley, said that she's had very frank discussions about about what she wants around this with the Minister for Public Expenditure, Jack Chambers.

And it will be seen as, you know, it could be a massive win for them, but they could also have, it could be a huge loss, essentially, if they don't push it far enough.

And they've, you know, it's been talked about a lot, so people are expecting a lot.

With Keira.

Now, the locations of seven proposed new early learning and childcare projects were announced today by the Minister for Children, Norma Foley.

Across the seven proposed locations, there's potential to provide around 600 places to support the Department of Children's policy of improving access to high-quality, affordable early learning and childcare.

We're joined now by the Children's Minister, Norma Foley.

And I would hope that, you know, sense would prevail.

And, you know, we would take the opportunity for discussion.

Minister for Children, Disability and Equality, Norma Foley, thank you for talking to the hard shoulder.

The Hard Shoulder.
