But the things that are clear about this that I 100% can say is that this team just lost all of their momentum, all of their clutch, and especially, and I'm not going to blame it entirely on him, but you could absolutely see the inexperience of Craig Stammen as a manager coming into play into this series.
He got completely out-managed by your back-to-back NL Manager of the Year award winner, Pat Murphy.
[sighs] And I'm like, like I'm not saying we should fire Craig Stammen because I do think for this first time ever managing, he actually did a pretty A-OK job and he can only get better from, from here.
And I think subjecting the Padres to another manager change is only going to hurt them.
But like, [sighs] you could literally just tell that he just, I don't know if it's panicked or overthought, but there was definitely times where you could tell that his decisions just didn't work out.
Like even during the last inning, they were putting Dustin Harris in after Gavin Sheets and even the broadcasters were like, "Why would you not put Dustin Harris in first and then hope for a two-run shot from Gavin Sheets?" And I think that makes more sense.
But [sighs] see, the problem is right now all I can think of is just a bunch of what-ifs.
Like what if this happened? What if this happened? Like for example, what if Morahone wasn't hurt and could actually pitch? Another random what if I have was like what if Casey Mize didn't absolutely suck and he was the player we traded for? We could have absolutely used him in this series.
Uh, and I, and I, I, I know some people don't believe in luck and I don't entirely believe in luck, but if luck was a thing and the baseball gods were a thing, they certainly did not help us out whatsoever this series.
The roof blocking the possible home run that was a home run or not a home run, who cares? It doesn't matter.
Uh, or Jake Cronenworth reacting late on the Mason Miller blown save or just Mason Miller not tipping his pitches allegedly or actually getting the last out.
Manny Machado hitting the ball a little bit further so it can go over the wall for a game-tying home run.
