The PWHL Found Its Way To San Jose!

have a new PWHL team coming to San Jose this next coming season.

I don't know if I fully processed that.

It's very exciting news.

We were invited to go to the announcement on Tuesday, which was really exciting and very, very random and very last minute for us.

But we made it work.

We went.

And I don't know, do you want to talk about your experience?

I want to roll it back maybe a couple of weeks ago because if you've been a longtime follower of this pod or if you're tuning in to us for the first time, go circle back a couple episodes because I kid you not, two episodes ago, we were just loving life, excited to hear what the PWHL, where the teams would land.

We were excited to talk about that.

Nowhere in our mindset were we thinking we would get a team.

Nowhere in my universe.

And I remember saying, just the way that I'm used to seeing how things go, SoCal usually gets a team or two, and then eventually the Bay will get one.

And since SoCal doesn't have one yet, in my logic, we're not getting one.

At least not in this next month.

And...

We also didn't have a takeover tour game.

So nothing in my hemisphere was eluding even a little morsel for us to get hopeful.

I was very realistic given the information that was provided to us at the time.

And then two weeks ago, two, three weeks ago, stuff started coming out and it, it, it rocked our world and it had me feeling like I missed something, but it's weird because we talk and follow hockey.

I just, especially within the Bay.

So it was very bizarre.

And we talked about how we were a little uncertain about how to feel because even though legitimate outlets were talking about this, Like I finished saying, we did have a takeover tour.

There has been no conversation about it.

SoCal usually gets a team.

This is going against the grain of adding sports teams to this area.
