Jayson Tatum’s Breakout Season, The Post-Kawhi Clippers & Surprise East Contenders (w/ Evan Turner)

I, I think my takeaway from it just being a player, uh, Kawhi didn't make up this deal himself.

Like, do you know what I mean? So when it comes down to it, I, I think- For the first time in a while, I feel like the player doesn't really get penalized.

You know, they're gonna go af- after Ballmer.

I love Steve Ballmer but, you know, when it comes down to making the plays and who's doing this, that, and the third, like they orchestrate it, they set it up.

Um, I think when it comes down to it, maybe being selfish but for, as a fan for the game of basketball, like, hey, you wanna see these next steps in these careers.

Y- you don't wanna see a bunch of headache overtaking a game.

And then when you sit there at the end of the day, it was a bad bid.

It was the worst bet ever.

Like, you know what I mean? They didn't come close to winning a championship.

So I mean, it is what it is.

Shout out to Steve Ballmer.

I'm sure he'll bounce back.

But that, that is, uh...

What'd they, what'd they fine him? Like five first round picks or something?

Five first round picks.

Damn.

And maybe more importantly for Steve Ballmer, they suspended him for an entire year.

Yeah, that, that, uh...

Damn, shout out Ballmer.

Um, that-- bro, I like Ballmer a lot.

Um, [laughs] but it, those five first round picks are killer.

I don't know what, you know, you're gonna do or how you can bounce back.

You know what I'm saying?

Mm.

Like over the next five years, your first round picks are going to be stifled a bit.
