Three Months Too Long

The Olympic break has come and gone.

The wings were pretty impactful.

We saw three wings and one more that's in the organization play.

We had Dylan Larkin, our captain, O'Captain, and then Lucas Raymond, Mosider, and then Grand Rapids Griffin, Edward Traumachs.

They all played pretty big roles for their teams.

I mean, I think Dylan Larkin was the most impactful player, not even just on the score sheet, but given the eye test, I think he was the best player for the U.S. the entire tournament.

He didn't have the highest of highs, but also he was the most consistent player the entire tournament.

Yeah, I'd agree.

It was interesting to hear some of the discourse after the tournament here.

Essentially, Larkin was the assistant alternate captain, whatever you want to call it.

He was second in command.

He was the spiritual leader.

He was the spiritual leader.

Hearing how the Kachuks talked about Larkin, I'm like, that's what I expect out of my captain.

I mean, you can make the argument even Dylan Larkin deserved to be the captain, but I...

They were never going to strip Matthews.

They were never going to do it.

I know, but...

I think Larkin definitely proved...

I feel like he also proved the fact that the Wings haven't made the playoffs in a while and maybe not as many people saw how Larkin plays.

It's not his fault.

Larkin is definitely not the reason why we're not in the playoffs.

He would be the reason why we make the playoffs.

Of course.

I mean, if he would stop getting injured in the month of March.
