**A routine win**. Yes, really, even if it was against the Charlton youth team. Sávio played twenty brilliant minutes, scored, and immediately crocked himself. Mikey scored a banger and earned a loan…

Now then, where shall we start? Susie, why don't we have a quick word about Charlton? They put out a team of 12-year-olds, but, you know, it was still quite nice to have what used to be, you know, that routine win.

Well, it was a little bit of a shock to hear Glory, Glory, Charlton, what's fair at the end, wasn't it? God, I haven't heard that for ages.

But then, wasn't it lovely just to get some goals and just to look dominant? You know, we could have been playing against Dunstan's Browneers.

We managed to get some goals and Savio, as he is now, came on and just did the business and looked like he was up and at them, which, frankly, is what we all want

A good goal, and we thought he'd got a second, but it has, of course, the great Ben Davis had actually deliberately flicked that in.

yeah well we know this is this is a terrible personal tragedy for you simon quite honestly um and we may yet rue the day but i was it was nice that he got a girl wasn't it and it was lovely to see savio's cameo appearance and absolutely typical that that he immediately retired injured for what was going to be the big encounter i'm with i'm with sue on this that it is so it was just so nice to to have goals and a win even though it was the league cup and even though you know we're not allowed to have nice things because the uh draw was rapidly made and i guess we might come to that at some point soon but you know if we're gonna draw another opponent of course it's got to be liverpool

Yeah, I mean, why not draw a team we never beat? Kev, I mentioned this stat right at the top.

I mean, the fact that we've all been there to watch this shit, perhaps it isn't that surprising.

But, you know, I think we had sort of, even though Charlton were... a bit shit and, you know, as I said, it's kind of a youth team.

We still thought, great, you know, there's enthusiasm, there's excitement about going into the Newcastle game.

Clearly, there are those couple, two or three gaps where we're just struggling to fill them with players who are really comfortable.
