Why Elon Is Literally Napoleon

Both are outsiders.

The first similarity between Elon and Napoleon is that they were both outsiders, meaning that they both have this sort of outsider mentality.

And it's not just that they have this outsider mentality, but they also are actual immigrants.

They are literal outsiders to the place where they ended up in.

I mean, I know that when you think of Napoleon, you think of that French guy, but Napoleon wasn't even French.

He was Corsican, which was a small island off the coast of France.

And what's even crazier when it comes to Napoleon is that he always had a Corsican accent.

So every person that he met knew that he wasn't originally French.

He didn't even speak French until he was 10 years old.

There's this phenomenal biography on Napoleon by Emil Ludwig that has this perfect quote that really describes this outsider mentality that Napoleon and Elon both have.

To a school fellows, he seems half a savage or at best a queer foreigner.

He knows scarcely a word of French and has little inclination to learn the language of the foe.

What a tiny little chap he is, and what a ridiculous name.

His coat is too long, no pocket money, nothing to spend, and yet he claims to be of noble birth.

The scions of the French nobility laugh.

Who cares about Corsican noblemen? If you Corsicans are such brave fellows, Why did you let yourselves be beaten by your unconquerable troops? We were one to ten.

The lad angrily exclaims, you just wait until I'm grown up and I will pay you Frenchmen out.

Your father is nothing more than a sergeant after all.

An outburst of wrath from the boy who challenges his tormentor.

The young Napoleon is kept in, he writes to his father.

I am tired of explaining my poverty, of having to endure the mockery of these foreign boys whose only superiority is in respect of money.

For a nobility of feeling, they are far beneath me.

must I really humble myself before these purse-proud fellows? The answer from the island is, we have no money, you must stay where you are." Dang, that is why I love Napoleon so much, because this quote shows exactly the outsider mentality, and Napoleon's life is the true arc of someone coming from absolutely nothing and getting to the top of the world.

Elon Musk has the exact same mentality, and when you listen to the description from his biography, you really get to see why him and Napoleon are so similar, because they had so similar of an upbringing.

Elon was actually born in South Africa and he was also bullied, socially isolated, and he grew up pretty much the exact same way Napoleon grew up in and even emigrated at around the same age as Napoleon.
