yeah the one thing i love about this show is it really feels like the national and like the reason you go to like shows like this is because you have access to like what all these corporate vendors you have access to all like the regular vendors as well too because some shows like front row a lot of the corporate vendors don't necessarily go to Whereas Clecton, they go to some here and there, like Heritage goes like a fourth of them, and then like Clecton has like a priority grading relationship with like PSA, so like CDC and TAG and other grading companies can go there.
Whereas when you come here, really the only thing missing, I think, is on-site grading.
And so like when you go to the National, which is like the biggest card show in the world in July, I could literally go do same-day grading with PSA.
Oh, didn't get the grade I want.
I'm going to go do same-day grading with TAG.
Oh, didn't get what I want.
I'm going to go do same-day grading with CDC.
And I could literally do what would take me like six weeks at home with like shipping, insurance.
Oh no, am I going to lose my grail? You know, like whatever have you.
And you can like play the grading game Which, when you think about, like, same-day grading in the National, a lot of that's, like, $100, $200.
And so, like, you're playing this game with these big cards that it's very, like, it's easy to do.
Whereas here, you can still do the same thing.
Like, yesterday, like, within an hour, I'd had a lengthy conversation with Heritage, with Golden, with Tag, all the way through.
Basically, just trying to get an idea, hey, what's coming up for auction? You know, like, what do you guys have in the pipeline? You know, how are the things doing? What are you guys seeing? Are you guys seeing any trends? And...
I'll even ask to say, hey, are you seeing a different concentration of bidders? Whereas that's a question we asked last night where it was like it used to be primarily North America, now it's global.
But you just get all this feedback.
What that does, it helps you make better decisions as, one, a collector, an investor, just any of that stuff.
And so it's all good info to come to these because you get to really build those relationships.
PSA is not doing on-site this year? Because last time they were here, they were doing on-site grade.
They're not doing it this time? They might be.
I don't really do, like, usually.
So what's weird with PSA is they charge so much here, it's actually better to go through a vendor like Kevin Douglas.
So there's, like, little tricks of the trade you can find out there.
And I remember I got my cards back in a couple hours.
