NY Gameday Hour 3: Turron Davenport & Jordan Raanan

You're listening to New York Game Day on 880 ESPN and the ESPN New York app.

Jets at the Lions at 1:00.

Giants hosting the Titans at 1:00.

And let me just complain right now.

First time this year- That both the locals are on at the same time.

The Giants, of course, were in primetime in week one and in week two.

Jets are only playing 1:00 games the entire season, besides two late 4:00 games on the West Coast much later on.

But Mike, I can't stand when both the locals play at the same time.

It's, it's stressful enough watching the Jets knowing I also gotta watch the Giants for my role with ESPN New York.

I miss the days when they would never play at the exact same time.

One was always at 1:00, or 4:00, or primetime.

You would never have to deal with them both playing at the exact same time.

So, you know, this is a...

This is gonna sound, like, old school, but, like, the purists in the...

Like, you wanna play every game Sunday at 1:00.

Like, that's just the idiosyncratic nature of us crazy people in this industry, where they could tell you at, you know, 4:00 on, you know, Tuesday, October 24th, like, what they're doing, you know, for 18 minutes.

You know, like, so the Sunday games are, you know, what you wanna...

I think the Rams, I, I think I heard this morning, the Rams are the first team to start three straight games in primetime ever with tonight's game.

Wow.

Does that sound right?

Uh, I, I, I had not seen that, but I wouldn't, I wouldn't necessarily think that's crazy to say.

I mean, how ra- how often do teams play back-to-back in primetime? That's usually pretty rare, and we're gonna see that several times throughout the season.

The Falcons are in primetime three straight, it's, th- three straight weeks-

Yeah

... following, uh, Thursday being the first of the three.
