Sep 15, 2026 · 32 min · 10 segments
Today we’ll discuss the results of last week’s September WASDE report, climbing energy prices, and what to make of all this rain we’re getting.
Well, top of the morning to you.
This is our Tuesday Key Market Drivers call.
It is September 15th, middle of September already.
You see our contact info on the screen as always.
We would certainly love to hear from you how we can make this call better.
Let's get into it.
And maybe just a little bit shorter call today.
Don't have quite as much to talk about.
We had this big WASDE coming down the pipe last week that we previewed on last Tuesday's call.
We talked about this being a very important report and the market was set up with record spec long positions in corn and beans and meal going into the report and how that in the past has been a bit of a recipe for disaster.
I don't know about disaster, but certainly some market volatility.
As we'll show you with the report, we really didn't get much of that.
So we didn't upset the spec apple cart, if you will, and didn't really get any of that spec money moving.
We'll show you what the report says here when we get to that slide.
