Iceland’s referendum and the week in review

How are we? Where are we?

Good morning, bon dia.

We are, uh, six floors, uh, above, um, Avenida República.

We're in the Avenidas Novas district, uh, just around the corner from the Gulbenkian, uh, Museum, which is going to really be the hub for the Quality of Life Conference, which officially gets underway, not at the Gulbenkian, but, uh, at a very, very nice, uh, palace in Lapa on Thursday evening.

Uh, but of course, the conference, uh, the main big day, uh, is this coming Friday, and that will indeed be at, at the Gulbenkian Museum.

Now, I know you like to do things on foot, Tyler, but is this the closest M- uh, Quality of Life Conference that has yet been organized near to, to, to the Brûlé residence? I mean, this is-- We're now within sort of spitting-- Your coffee would still be hot were you to carry it down the street.

Is that correct?

Absolutely.

Uh, that, that, that is very true.

There, there won't be any, uh, vehicles, uh, involved because it is-- I think, I think I can make it there probably in, um, in, in, in six minutes.

Uh, would, would not, would not be a problem.

So indeed, right around the corner, uh, from where I am.

Of course, I'm speaking from, uh, my apartment, uh, at the moment.

So yes, uh, everything will be focused in that area.

Uh, we'll be at The Ritz.

We're going to be, which is, of course, now the Four Seasons, um, but an incredible structure commissioned by Salazar when Salazar said he needed, and the city and the nation needed a big international, uh, hotel to host the world.

Uh, and it, it is-- it's really, uh, a bit of a landmark that when it comes to just all of the, the sheer number of, uh, art pieces, uh, that were commissioned, um, in, in, in the modernist period, uh, which punctuate much of the building.

We're at the Genesis Quad down the street.

Uh, we're at the Mood Museum on Saturday morning, where there'll be just-- there'll be more than a little bit of radio from there as well.

Uh, and yeah, I would imagine, um, if I'm out in the street, which I will be a bit later, of course, delegates are already trickling in because, Charles, summer is still alive and well-
