It's like, uh, there, there are to-do lists at home, there are to-do lists, uh, through work, there hopefully are to-do lists with your financial future, and that's what we're gonna talk about today.

So, uh, yeah, a lot of people do put things together and write it down, and the, the hard part for a lot of people is taking the time to get it done.

And pri- pri- prioritizing the list also I think can be a, a tricky one for a lot of people because your priority might not be the same as your partner or spouse's priority list.

So at Sandvold Financial Group, one of the goals we have is to help you with that list and make sure that you are diligent about attacking that list in a positive way, and making sure that you are really ready for retirement, as one example, and that you are saving enough money to take control of your future as you do get to retirement, and, uh, ideally take away some of the stress that a lot of people do have once they get close to that.

Because what they're doing is, "Am I really ready? Do I have enough money? Will my money last as long as I do? Uh, I'd like to pass a legacy to my kids.

I don't know if I'm gonna be able to do that or spend it all myself." There's many, many questions out there for people.

And then, and one thing is, on the distribution side, what money do you spend first in a tax-efficient way? That can make a big difference, too.

The pre-retirement checklist is one thing that everybody should make and do and follow up on, uh, and implement.

Uh, I- and, and you know, I think it's, it's hard for people, too, to an extent, Terry, that we've talked for a long time, where y- you don't know what you don't know.

And, uh, you know, that's where I think we always start from the standpoint of helping clients to understand, you know, what checklist for wants, wishes, uh, clients may, may want in the future.

And, you know, that- that's where we've talked a lot over the last year about the vision timeline tool-
Yeah

... to help identify when you may want to retire, what that could look like from a professional side, as well as a personal side.

And, you know, thinking about, what does that day-to-day routine look like? What does the, uh, the- what do the big events look like during the retirement years? And trying to map that out.

And, um, you know, we, we can show from, you know, 40 years in history, uh, of our firm to say what are things that we've seen adapt when you go into retirement? How have those trends changed? You know, what have spending habits and patterns changed and look like? But, uh, you know, it's, uh, there, there's a large checklist to go through on these.

And, you know, it's, it's not as simple as saying, "I'm working today, I'm retired tomorrow." It's, it's a lot of years of planning, uh, that hopefully have gone into this, and that's what we love to help out with.
Well, and Blake, you know, just in a very handy fashion like you guys always do, if you don't catch the entire show and all the items on said list, we have a helper for you.

Uh, it'll help give a framework on what to go through a- as far as, uh, how, how to see if you're on track, uh, a- and lined up on this.
