You didn't build the armor you're wearing today. Host Daniel Weinberg sits down with philosopher and hypnotherapist Dr. Michael Glock to uncover why high performers…
Michael GlockGuestDaniel WeinbergHostIt's interesting when you say you're a different human being, it's a lot of what you're saying really resonates with my own personal journey.
One thing I would want to try and challenge you on is you say you're a different human being.
What if I say to you, I think you're the same human being, you just become way more conscious?

Yes, you have awoken to the agreements that you had agreed to that allowed the construction to exist, and all of that was up until that moment unconscious.

Secondly, in this midlife crisis, if you are in the appropriate container, in this case, it's my therapeutic field and the system and the talk therapy and the hypnosis that we do together and the homework, the journaling and listening to the material repeatedly.

What happens is that you begin to embed this new consciousness in and you begin to catch yourself.

And the way that I articulate it is in this first half of life, you are unconsciously running an old operating system.

I call it 1.0 and it's been Implanted by default, and it has been created by all of the traumas, by the losses, by the adventures that have failed.

And that's operating system 1.0. And because we are constructed the way that we are, we have this fight or flight response.

And throughout that first half of life, we figured out what works and what doesn't.

So whenever we encounter a novel situation, we trot out unconsciously whatever's worked before, because we fundamentally don't want to put in the hard effort of becoming masters and enlightened.
