Inferno

I said, you know, because we were discussing what is he going to write on? What does he need to do? What does he need to look for? What's the angle for the story? What's he seeing? And this is what he described.

It was like something from Dante's Inferno.

Like the pits of hell.

It's what Jane is describing, what she saw on the screen.

Mm

... emotionally vivid, horrific view of anything I've ever seen, like Dante's Hell.

Landed, met up with Governor Pataki and then Mayor Giuliani, and went walking toward Ground Zero.

And as we got closer, it was like a literal black stage curtain had been put across the entire area.

It's not so much as to when.

It's when are we not engaged? If Satan can get you to think he's a story, if he is a construct of medieval theologians, if he could get you to be thinking that he's nothing more than relegated to the authorship of Dante's Inferno, maybe this book or that book, that movie or this movie, By the way, regarding this, and we'll wrap it up, regarding this, you should read the book, The Screwtape Letters by C.S.

Lewis.

Um, I hope you guys repent.

I mean, I, I can't stand either one of you or none of the people that are responsible for this, but, um, I truly hope you guys repent because I don't even wanna think about the Dante's Inferno you might be going to.

You almost certainly will be going to, and a whole lot of others.

Because everybody thinks, "Well, somebody would've blown the whistle." They did.

But it's dreadful, isn't it? Satan's Alley is awful.

Is it supposed to sort of be like Dante's Inferno, kind of, but without any plot or any fucking...

what I wanted to say.

You know, it's like, and the kids are like wreaking havoc on the school.

And there's elements of Dante's Inferno.

And Kurt, you know, screaming.

Well, he's lip syncing.

And then he died and was buried and in hell he lifted up his eyes being in torment and there was no turning back.

It is Dante who wrote the poem The Inferno, who said, written over the portals of hell are these words, abandon all hope, ye who enter here.

There is no tomorrow.

Today, if you hear his voice, harden not your heart.

Most people's view of hell is based on medieval speculation, like Dante's Inferno.

And they think, well, Dante is telling us the way it really is.

No, Dante is just speculating.
