Give It The Old College Try

Give me just like 10 seconds, 30 seconds on how... you made the decision to go to college instead of trade school for you guys? Cause all four of us actually made that decision to go to college.

Anybody can

start.

Well, I can start.

I mean, I have six older brothers and sisters and that's what you did.

Um, when I was, I'm the six of seven and, um, I should say five others went before me.

And, um, It's just kind of the natural progression of, you know, when you graduate high school, you go to college.

And then when I graduated, I'd have a few friends that were going to University of Wisconsin.

And I said, if I get in, I'm going.

I had no idea what I was going to do.

I had no path, no direction.

I just, that's what you did.

And so that's what I did.

And 10 years later, I graduated college.

So that was a pretty good event.

That's right.

Well, JP, I wasn't much different.

I grew up, as you guys know, I grew up in a plumbing contracting family.

My grandfather started a plumbing contracting company in the late 40s in my hometown of Champaign, Illinois.

And when I got out of high school in 85, I had the direct link to join that company.

I chose not to.

I wanted to go to college.

I wanted to be the first person in my family to graduate college.

After a year of college, though, I was not ready.

And I decided to then join the military.
