“DISCERNMENT’S CRY!” - Part 2 (The Cancer of Compromise)

Beloved, as the minute hand on God's prophetic time clock moves rapidly toward the midnight hour, the Holy Spirit has heightened his warning of the critical need of his discernment to be alive and operating in the hearts and minds of God's people.

For deception has risen to its greatest challenge against God's truth.

One of the enemy's weapons in this demonic strategy is the temptation to compromise.

For compromise not only veils discernment's warning, but it works to convince the compromising one that they are still operating in the truth, only now in a more gentle or accepting way and under the banner of liberty.

But liberty does not give license to sin.

In 1 Peter 2.16 we read, But as free men, do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bond slaves of God.

The Word of God presents truth as an absolute, non-negotiable reflection of of God's unchanging character.

It is holy, it is precise, and it is forever settled in heaven.

It is the ultimate reality of the living word himself, the one who alone is the way and the truth and the life, Lord Jesus the Christ, the great I Am.

In Deuteronomy 5.32, we are given this exhortation.

Be careful to do what the Lord your God has commanded you, and do not turn aside to the right or to the left.

And in 1 Kings 18, 21, how long will you hesitate between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him.

But if fail, follow him.

You cannot serve two masters.

Matthew 6, 24 grants us this divine confirmation.

No one can serve two masters.

for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will hold to the one and despise the other.

The Lord God Almighty does not negotiate with rebellion.

He does not bend his truth to satisfy the whims of the disobedient.

He fiercely opposes compromise, for it is the leaven of sin that defiles the whole loaf and feeds the rising of pride that caused Lucifer's fall from heaven.

and it is at work in the hearts of all who follow in his steps.

And that is why in these last minutes of the last hour, the Holy Spirit's discernment is more critical now than it has ever been, and compromise must be avoided at any cost.

In a commentary written for Watchmen entitled The Cancer of Compromise, they grant vital insight that must be heeded in this prophetically charged day that we are living in, for it hits right at the heart of exposing the genuine from the forgery.

I'll be gleaning from the insight they offer while adding additional Holy Spirit insight along the way.

They write, for the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.
