The Dallas Mavericks Plan for Cooper Flagg This Year

The Dallas Mavericks are putting the ball in Cooper Flagg’s hands as the primary initiator, with Kyrie Irving moving into a secondary, staggered role, according to new Mavs reports from the NBA preseason trip to China. Is Point Flagg the right move for the Mavs’ offense, and how does it change under Dusty May compared to Jason Kidd? Nick Angstadt (@NickVanExit) breaks down the latest reports on Cooper Flagg’s leadership role, why the Mavs are building their future around him, and what Kyrie Irving’s secondary role means for the Dallas Mavericks’ offense. Nick also covers how veterans like PJ Washington, Daniel Gafford, Caleb Martin, and Santi Aldama fit around Flagg, and why the Mavs chose not to add another point guard beyond Sergio de Larrea and Marcus Sasser. What does Naji Marshall’s ball-handling role tell us about Dusty May’s new pace-and-space offense, and could it make Point Flagg easier than last season?     📸 PHOTO: Imagn Images     📲 **Follow Locked On Mavs Hit** Facebook: Locked On Mavs Hit Instagram | Locked On Mavs Hit Tiktok | Locked On Mavs Hit Twitter | Locked On Mavs Hit     📲 **Follow Nick** Twitter | @NickVanExit TikTok | NickVanExit Instagram | @NickVanExit     **Daily Podcast: Locked On Mavericks with Nick & Isaac Harris** 📺 Locked On Mavericks YouTube Channel 🎧 Locked On Mavericks Podcast Platforms     **Join the Everydayer Club: Be a Locked On Mavs Insider** to support the show and get texts from Nick & Isaac on every Mavs Rumors, News Updates, Game Previews, Q&As, & More… 📲 https://lockedonmavericks.supercast.com/         📢 **Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! |** lockedonpodcasts.com/offers     **Kalshi** Today's hit is sponsored by Kalshi.
