Kentucky Is FIRST in the SEC. Can the Wildcats Actually Win It?

Kentucky football is 7-1, ranked No. 9 in the country and sitting alone in first place in the SEC entering the final month of the regular season. At this point, the question is no longer whether Will Stein’s first season is a success - it’s how much Kentucky can actually win. On today's episode of Locked On Kentucky, Lance Dawe steps back from the Vanderbilt win and looks at the bigger picture surrounding the Wildcats. Kentucky has won six straight games, owns five SEC victories and has built one of the strongest résumés in college football. Lance explains why the Wildcats have earned their top-10 ranking and why the conversation around Kentucky now has to shift from “surprise team” to legitimate SEC and College Football Playoff contender. Then, Lance breaks down Kentucky’s path to the SEC Championship Game. What happens if the Wildcats beat Tennessee, Florida and Missouri? How much does one SEC loss change the picture? And why does the difference between finishing 8-1 and 7-2 in conference play matter so much? Finally, Lance looks ahead to the first College Football Playoff rankings and the possibility that Kentucky could not only make the field - but host a first-round playoff game in Lexington. What still needs to improve, what could derail the Wildcats and just how high is the ceiling for this team entering November? **Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!** **KALSHI** For a limited time, Download Kalshi and use code **Locked On** to get $25 when you trade $25. Kalshi.
