Water Testing Lab

So let me start off.

Let's talk about the lab a little bit.

What would you say is kind of the primary mission of the RWA's lab?

To provide our operators and the RWA personnel Water treatment, Queens Water Quality Department, information to protect the health of people drinking our water.

That's

great.

And your lab, our lab, is certified.

It is a certified lab.

Can you walk us through what that means and what you and the company have had to do to become a certified lab?

Well, to be a certified lab, you need to have the personnel who has an educational background, a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree.

So with a Bachelor of Science degree, you need to have chemistry and biology credits.

The people that run instruments need a little bit more chemistry.

It's just a requirement that the state has for lab analysts.

And so when you say certified, you're certified by the state of Connecticut.

The Department of Public

Health certifies our lab to perform the tests needed for drinking water.

And so you have folks with a certain background and they're trained.

And then you and I were driving over here talking about there's some other things that lead to certified, like you said, like bench space.

So you have to have the proper room to do this stuff.

Right.

Correct.

You need to have the proper laboratory space, so bench spaces, fume hoods, the proper equipment from balances to refrigerators, incubators, and necessary to perform the test accurately.

And you were telling me, you know, if for some reason your lab needed to kind of relocate across the hall for a few months for some reason, that new space would have to be certified.

Correct.

Right.
