Are you tired of crash diets that leave you freezing, miserable, and starving? So were we. This week on the podcast, we are joined by someone who specializes in helping people achieve exactly that…
The types of diets I did for a long time, I lost a tremendous amount of weight through like really...
Diets I would never do now, but I think they were probably perfectly fine for me to do at 500 plus pounds, like a liquid diet.
I lost 80 pounds on a liquid diet and I actually never gained any of that back, which was amazing.
But I think if I tried to do something like that today, I would most likely gain that weight back.
So that's a weird thing to talk about with people because people are like, really want a one trick pony that i can hand to them and i don't have a one trick pony i did a ton of diets um the diets that were tricky for me like intermittent fasting for me said in this window you can eat whatever you want yes and i can eat through that and and every diet that didn't regulate quantity I could eat through because I was a binge eater too.
So if you tell me I can eat meat and vegetables and olive oil, my God, I'll go to town.
It was like an interesting elimination diet, which might be super beneficial to somebody.
And then at the end, at the tail end, I finally started counting calories, but this was not something that I obsessed over for a long time.
And, and what I'll say, what works for one person won't work for someone else, but also what works for you now might not work for you at a different point in your life.
And the same reverse, like what, what doesn't work for you now might work for you later.
There was a point in my life in which calorie counting was a really bad thing for me.
And realistically, what it came down to was it was my approach when it was really bad for me.
If I didn't hit exactly this amount, if I didn't weigh every single thing to the point where I was doing, I was weighing spinach leaves and like slivers of onion.
