Loch Ness

Until they plunge into the dark, peaty waters of a loch in Scotland.

Loch Ness.

The transition from the macro scale power of crossing an ocean to the micro scale finesse required underwater is just stunning.

It really is.

He generates a bioluminescent green glow to attract the local fauna.

He is setting a stage.

And from the abyssal darkness, the Loch Ness Monster appears.

The big reveal.

I don't think you actually go past Loch Ness, but it's very close to Loch Ness.

Yeah, going up.

So never again.

But I've run in lots of other really exciting, interesting outfits, including a Loch Ness monster hat at the Loch Ness Marathon, which I'm doing again this year.

Sadly, I don't know where that hat is now.

So I might have to buy another one.

Yesterday was the five-year anniversary of Graham's death.

And yeah, so it's a very significant milestone.

And that's why I'm going to Loch Ness.

Actually, this year is kind of my birthday treat.

So-called evidence of intentionally broken trees, dens, or even calls are dubious at best.

Even after science definitively showed no DNA of an unknown creature in Loch Ness, believers still think Nessie is in there.

There has never been any verifiable proof that the death worm exists.

No telltale cast-off skin, no poop, no photographic or video evidence that the thing really is there.

This makes zero sense at all.

I can break down Loch Ness or Bigfoot before I can break this down.

You believe in that stuff? What? Bigfoot? Yeah.

Loch Ness? No.

I think Bigfoot was just somebody just playing around, but Loch Ness could be.

And it's really far south.

I would have gone all the way up to the tip of Scotland, past Loch Ness into the Isle of Sky.

There's one way up there.

I did a whole trip.

Well, it's so true because I can remember when Maria and I went back to Scotland to Rangers.

and they put us up and it wasn't whale watching it was Loch Ness monster watching that's it didn't see Nessie that day but uh but just having the ability to have someone there to help you pick you up at the airport and just sort of put your mind at ease i mean we had friends and some relatives back home as well that helped us when we got settled into the Grosvenor Hotel in Glasgow but It's not easy.

It's not easy.

It's a huge, especially if someone can't speak the language and they're coming from a foreign continent or whatever like that.
