Tyler LabineGuestI wish when I went to work that day, I had the perspective I have now because when I go to work today, I'm so happy to be there.
the reason I'm living my life the way I am is to be a better version of myself, which I didn't even have as an idea back then.

Like even that, like I can't even take credit for whatever guy was killing it.

Like I was just sort of showing up and doing what people wanted me to do, you know, especially as an actor.

Like I've had so much more input creatively as a sober human being because I feel like the clarity is a real key.

And like I have ADHD and I'm sort of like all over the board and like I got diagnosed very quickly with a bunch of things I knew were there but had never dealt with.

As a creative human being, I found all these things that were like, I was trying to drink my way out of before or try to like turn down or minimize the least are like my gifts as a performer and a writer and a musician.
So as someone similar to you, and I can relate to going into a room with like-minded individuals, telling my story, hearing other people's story, trying to be of service to them, that is so beneficial to me.
Do you find that doing your podcast and having these conversations very openly is that are often not just about addiction and your own personal struggles, but are about even bigger issues can get you to be more honest with yourself, more vulnerable and has allowed growth.

And I want to ask you about that in your podcasting journey too, but it all grew from that.

Like I had discovered through that level of honesty and curiosity that I was like, People would start talking to me in a different way.

Like I was having conversations I'd never had before with people I'd known for decades, you know, or even just people that I'm just meeting would open up to you in a way that you're like, why, why does this dude feel like he can just come up to me and like start that conversation? And I realized it was this like light that I had turned on.

like leading with, you know, honesty and being authentic, you know, as much as I can, like a very concerted effort to just always be open and honest and authentic.
