Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note. Most people think a layoff means one path: either leap all in on your dream or stay…

Yeah, so basically what ended up happening, this was about a year ago, the company that I was working for went through this major merger and the location I was working at was unfortunately one of the locations that they decided to close down essentially.

One of them was, of course, you know, getting, you know, the classic severance paycheck.

And then the other one was, you know, maybe if you want to, you can get a position at one of the newer locations.

And I realized I was like, oh, is this really something I want to continue doing? Yeah.

You know what I mean? Like, do I want to keep going with this? Do I not? Like, so I was kind of caught between that decision of staying or going.

But a couple months later, kind of worked my way up, got a newer position, a lot more behind the scenes, not as much manual labor, which is kind of what I was looking for anyway.

But despite that, even with the work smoothing out, I still realized I was like, OK, you know, with everything that just happened to me, maybe I don't want to put everything into this.

And maybe there are some other things I want to put my energy into instead, which is kind of what led me to back to writing.
