I have so many feels listening to that story and, and just imagining what that would've been like for your family supporting you through such a, a painful, rigorous, like, like just such an aggressive way of, of addressing childhood cancer back in the '70s.
And, and here you are on the other side of it and, and you're markedly different, right? Your life has been touched in a different way, and just how beautifully you describe that walking between life and death, and many people that I've worked with who've experienced near-death experiences talk about that the other side revealed thems- revealed itself to them, that they had this sense that there's just so much more than we really understand.
And I find it so fascinating that the through line in many of those different stories is this overwhelming sense of peace.
This overwhelming sense that all will be well, and I just think that is so encouraging for, for people.
And my question for you, Catherine: I hear that you've had these remarkable experiences that have, you know, touched your life in a very significant way, and often when I'm working with people who don't have a faith-based system or haven't experienced really an understanding of spirituality and, and that sense of that oneness, the bigger picture, so to speak, how do you encourage people to just start that, start that journey when they feel like they, they haven't, quote, "had their life touched" in a way where that seems available, or they didn't grow up with faith or religion or spirituality, and they don't even know where to start?
Great question, and even statistics of the world, only about a third of the world is Christian.
Two third world-- two-thirds of the world is not, so it's just like can we be open to everything? I would start with energy.
And I start with, I work with people of all faiths, no faith, and can you just tune into that energy vibrating within you?
Everything is energy, and how do we relate to one another? How do we relate to looking out at trees right now, and flowers, and the birds? And just start there, to feel, to breathe, to feel that movement within and, and start being open to, well, what is that for you? Just start there.
... of curiosity and, and again, slowing down enough in a world that seems to be going at a quicker pace every day.
It almost feels like an act of rebellion to slow down, to pay attention to the small things, especially as you described with nature, with, again, just that energetic peace.
