Here's where I disagree with Tucker Carlson the most on these types of questions.

J.D. Vance is a charlatan who had his first mentor as David Frum, the arch neocon speechwriter for the Bush administration draft.

Now, so many people call him a restrainer, that he's against wars like this, but if you look at his first words in the limelight after receiving the vice presidential nomination at the RNC in 2024, what he told Fox News was, the presidents in the past made mistakes by not striking Iran hard enough, not hitting them hard, punching them hard.

In that New York Times piece, yes, it says that he didn't want to launch a war of this type, but he's on record in other statements saying that he wanted this type of war.

And he is associated with it now, carrying water for this administration, and in fact propagandizing on the specious nature of the idea of a nuclear threat coming from Iran, something that never existed.
him a pass.
And J.D. Vance's views on foreign policy are squarely in the center of where most Americans are.
You know, like, hey, let's not have another insane, counterproductive, deadly, expensive Middle East war on behalf of Israel.
That was his position.
And yet we did.
And so that happened without his encouragement.
He clearly sees his job primarily as backstopping the president, supporting the president, displaying public loyalty to the president.
Most vice presidents have felt that way.
But, you know, so I grieve for the position that he's in, and I say that with deep affection for him,
which I still have.
Have you urged him to speak
up? You know, my friendship with J.D.
