Um, I think sometimes with bad faith actors, uh, raising questions that then, and I think, you know, the left has, uh, some culpability in this, in that people tend to not be willing to allow kind of criticism or difficult conversations about migration, which leaves a lot of space, a big vacuum for people on the right who, um, are bad faith actors and, uh, but raise points that actually a lot of people go, "Well, yeah, actually that's, that's a really good point, and why is nobody, uh, talking about that?"

You remind me of a quote from David Frum.

David Frum was a, a speechwriter f- he's a, he's a, he's a conservative, uh, guy in America.

He wr- he wrote speeches for George W. Bush, I believe.

But his, his quote is, "If liberals won't police borders, fascists will." Uh, it seems like the political winds are changing.

On the most recent episode of the Good Question podcast, I spoke to David Frum, conservative commentator and staff writer for The Atlantic.

I asked him what Canada should be doing in the face of its current trade friction with the US.

He had very little foreign affairs experience to start with.

But now he has this devastating event hoisted upon him, and of course his most famous line, which was written by a Canadian, David Frum, the speechwriter, was that, uh, America is now into a war on terror against an axis of evil, and you are either with us or you're with the terrorists.

What did you think about the advisability of dividing up the world that way in that speech?
