Episode 0183: Connection

Connections, this connection.

Connection, the notion, not specific connections.

The summary of today's episode, a wandering missive concerning the way a smarter, smart city might foster more connection within itself and maybe beyond the ellipsis.

The links for today's episode, the usual two.

Innovate for Vegas.

Innovate F-O-R Vegas.

No spaces.

Innovateforvegas.org is our cohort website.

What does that mean? That focuses more on initiatives, civic volunteers, activities, and so on.

We are a Nevada nonprofit corporation and a 51c3 public charity.

So the innovateforvegas.foundation website focuses more on our business.

I literally started putting together our, we'll be publishing our minutes there.

Our document source or our repository of record is a Google workspace, which we get for free because we're a nonprofit.

Actually, we get it for free because we're a charity, not because we're a nonprofit.

That's a different story.

Google for nonprofits, but only if you're a public charity, uh, five, one C three.

So anyway, for Vegas dot foundation is where you would find board members, uh, which we have three now.

I wish I could convince them to send me their photos, but it's only been a month and a half.

Things move slowly in a civic volunteer organization.

That's fine.

They're there.

You don't need to have their pictures to advance the cause.

So Innovate for Megan Stott Foundation, board members, bylaws, if and when, well, for example, The Smarter Smart City Challenge is facilitated by the Innovate for Vegas Foundation.

So for the purposes of clarity, by making it something that would appear on the innovateforvegas.foundation website, we'll link back to that for more information, who to contact, facilitation.

We're a fiscal sponsor of the entire year-long undertaking.
