219. A Road Trip from an Italian Lake to a Swiss one!

Allora, the reason we want to share this Swiss road trip with you is because for any of you who may be planning to be anywhere Northern Italy from as far west as Torino or all the way over east to Venice, if you feel like just throwing in another culture on a day trip, or maybe one overnight, it's so easy, and it's so beautiful.

So we thought we would share this with you because it is something you could add to an itinerary to mix things up.

Personally, I think a lot of people go to Europe, especially on their first time, and they say, "Let's use-

Do the greatest hits.

Let's use Italy as an example.

It's our first time, so we do wanna see Venice, Florence, and Rome.

And that's fine, but you could, if it was your first trip to Europe, you could do whatever you wanna do in Italy, and then, again, throw in a new culture, a different language, a stunning region geographically, and it's quite easy.

We did it by driving, but you can easily take a train from Milano that goes through Como, and Tomaso and I have taken this train before, and I will say it's absolutely breathtaking.

Do you remember that, those teeny little glacial lakes? And in the day, the first time you ever did it, there were windsurfers [laughs] on those lakes.

Yes.

[laughs]

Well, there are windsurfers, there were windsurfers on Lake Garda too right now.

I know, but, you know, kiteboarding and whatnot had not-

Just-

... been invented yet

Yes, and foiling and everything else.

Exactly.

So here we go with this story of our road trip, which may be something you can do one day via a car or a train.
