459. The Portal Is Open with Caroline Moss

So I don't know, everything's coming up okay right now.

Yeah,

that's great.

Okay, what's your thing? What's your portal?

So I'm upstate for a lot of the summer.

And my cousin was here for the first two weeks.

We had one of our cousins got married and then we came to the house together and it was really fun.

We like barely ever get to see each other.

She lives in Chicago.

And her parents who used to live like within holiday dinner driving distance ended up moving down to North Carolina.

So now we don't even do holidays together anymore.

So I literally see her like maybe once a year, maybe.

Um, so we had two weeks together and I was telling her about, and did something, you know, I asked my grandmother for parking spaces.

I, she, and my grandmother has delivered many times.

And the first time it happened was like, when my book came out, I drove to the Upper West Side for like a book event.

Cause I had all this shit in my trunk that I had to bring in and it was like gonna rain.

And I was like, just trying to beat the rain.

And it was a weekday on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

The sky all of a sudden gets so dark.

It's one of those things where you're like headlights auto go on at four o'clock in the afternoon because it's actually like so dark.

And I'm like, fuck, like I, the sky is going to open.

I have my hair done.

I have my makeup done.

I have all these like paper products in my car.

I'm fucked.
