Billy Harding | From Blackheath Mini to Record Breaker

Obviously, by this point as well, you'd scored

a try every game.

This is like a couple of months now.

Because before you guys came to see us in February, I did a bit of research of top try scores in League.

And I was like, oh, this guy.

I wasn't aware of you.

And I was like, oh, this guy scored a stupid amount of tries.

Maybe I'll need to be aware of this winger.

And I was like, blimmin' heck, this guy's a hooker.

And...

And I hadn't heard much about you and stuff like that.

When did you start? When did people come knocking and go, we want to chat to this guy? Was it before the Albin game or was it after the Albin game?

So before Christmas, I'd broken the club record and I'd had like, I can't remember if I'd had two or three hat tricks.

It was like 26 tries.

And it was just, it was a bit ridiculous.

And I still look back and think it was ridiculous.

It just kind of started, like I didn't even start the first game of the season against Clifton because I'd been on, I'd had my wedding the weekend before.

So I'd missed the Tuesday training.

And so I was on the bench and I came off the bench and scored twice.

And then that Stortford game, I scored a hat trick and then it just kept rolling.

And then someone told me in November or December, I'd broken the club record.

And I was like, this is obscene.

And then the next thing people are looking at is, oh, well, You're on a roll.

You've scored every game.

What's the next record? And it was obviously the one for the league.
