Adam NasonAll right, so getting into it, of all the metallic dragons, I think the silver has changed the least in looks in the new Monster Manual.
I think they really went ham with the other metallics and changes, but this one pretty much looks the same.
They still have the tall mohawk of fins on top of their head, and they are probably the most distinguishable of metallics as their color is, well, silver.
All the others are very similar in color, while this one is very different.
They all have that brown, gold, copper, you know.
I was going to say, if they didn't
have physical differences.
Differences,
yeah.
Like those ones, you really have to know what you're looking for in terms of features.
And it's the only one of like a gray tone of the metallics.
They do not have any prominent horns, but they do have sort of fins that come from their jaws, which is something I think is very common with metallics.
None of them have big horns like the chromatics do.
They all have more fin features.
The new Monster Manual describes them as dragons of courage and fairness, and interestingly, has their habitat as mountain and urban, which are two things I don't think of going together often.
It does explain this in the lore that most live in snowy mountaintops, while others are driven to live in humanoid form in more urban settings and big cities.
They do this to help teach civilizations about the past so they can change the outcome of the future for the better.
Their entire purpose of life is helping maintain peace and greatness.
They are inspired by past heroes and will learn as many stories from the past as they possibly can, often collecting treasures of historical greatness and importance.
Their hordes will be filled with items from past adventures, art pieces depicting epic battles, and scrolls or tomes of historical importance.
They do receive a decent amount of spells in the new Monster Manual, but there are a few I would still add from Fizbin's, like Beacon of Hope and Calm Emotions.
I do appreciate that we kept the Zone of Truth.
Yeah, especially seekers of knowledge and truth and, like, historics.
