Is This Real Life? With Mandy Slutsker
Aug 30, 2026 · 1 hr 34 min · 9 segments
This week Mandy is joined by hilarious Recap Rodeo duo Lyndsay and Brady. They start out by discussing some of the latest Bravo news stories (trigger warning: domestic violence and sexual assault) but…
Well, speaking of light and fun, that is sort of how I felt about the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion.
Even though there were so many dark moments, especially what happened between Shamia and Porsha, I felt like at the end everything was just light and airy and fun and people had gotten to a pretty good place.
And I love how Andy reminded them, "Hey, this is where we wanna start back when we film season 18." You know, don't...
She chalked up a lot of her behavior to season one paranoia, and Drew and Angela were very understanding.
They said, "You know, we did crazy stuff our first seasons too." It takes a while to kind of get used to it all.
And I like how they broke the fourth wall by acknowledging, hey, this is her first season doing this, and she, you know, thought that people were gonna bring up things and not be as sisterly and kind as they actually were towards her.
It still dumbfounds me that she wasn't able to show up at the reunion after having watched back and been like, "I really messed up." She just seems to think like she continued the fight and didn't like throw gasoline on the fire, which is what I feel like she did.
Also, the things that she accuses Porsha of, Porsha says are the things that Shamia actually did.
And I'm not saying that Porsha's 100% innocent or never spoke poorly of Shamia, but it really feels like Shamia had issues with Porsha and then would never talk to her about them.
She would say she would bury them, she would maybe talk to a few other people, and then try to let it go.
But she never really let it go because how do you end up resenting someone so much that you claimed was your best friend after being on a show together one season? It took one season to completely unravel your friendship? Then you must not have liked her that much to begin with, truly.
I think Shamia just really, really messed up and it's frustrating to watch, um, her, for me.
Um, it's also very frustrating to watch this season of The Real Housewives of Orange County.
