hello and welcome to the irish marketing podcast powered by imj and tin pop productions i'm daryl and all summer long i've been speaking to creatives as part of our summer series so far we've spoken to nick kelly molly kiley from ringers creative bridget johnson and john kilkenny executive creative director at rte and today we're speaking to a person who was recommended to me by adele mccabe in publicis and described by her as a proper creative and somebody who can really put their hand to anything.

And we'll find out exactly what she means over the course of today's interview.

We're talking about Kevin Keenan, currently owner of Cobblestone Brands, but would have started his career way back when working in agencies, cutting his teeth with the likes of Callie Nee and Banks Love and TBWA.

And then went on to found his own agency called Guns or Knives, which became part of Rothko.

Then his career pivoted a bit and he had an opportunity to be a part of the launch of Glendalough Distillery, which he helped to make successful before being acquired.

And today, Kevin works across a portfolio of eight drinks brands, soon to be nine, and wears many hats, which he talks about as well.

as what it's like to move from creative to founder and how the creative and managerial roles work together and maybe sometimes in opposition.

Overall, I think it's a great perspective, not only on creativity, but also how that wraps into the bigger picture and the considerations of a business as a whole.
