Tullamore Dew

I like Irish whiskey.

Oh, love the Tullamore Dew.

I like the Jameson.

When we were in Ireland, we got to tour those places.

Pouring me some Irish Kool-Aid here.

A little bit of the Tullamore Dew into some literal Kool-Aid.

It's okay.

Oh, it looks red like blood.

I would go to the liquor store once or twice a week.

My favorite thing was Jameson Whiskey or Tullamore DEW.

I would go through one or two bottles a week.

I can't remember, but I was drinking every day.

Now, today I'm joined by Rob O'Brien, a business development professional whose career has taken him from wine and on trade through Irish whiskey and distillery sales, but now has taken a turn into health care and public sector language services.

Now, Rob has worked for brands including Tullamore Dew, Red Bull, Acai, Peroni.

But before that, he worked at Clonicality Distillery, where he helped grow the brand, develop the sales team, run the whiskey tastings and secure duty-free listings at Shannon and Cork airports.

So today, his focus is very, very different, helping the healthcare and the public sector organizations remove those language barriers through his work at Translit.

It was before and then I moved into food and wine and then it was a natural progression to move to the next product, which was whiskey.

Yeah, yeah.

And then at Richmond, you were securing listings for brands like, you know, Tullamore Dew, huge brand, Red Bull, massive, Asahi, huge, Peroni.

What does it actually take to go and persuade a bar, restaurant or venue for that matter, to give you that or give that brand sort of valuable space behind the bar? Surely it can't just be brand recognition alone.
