You put them in a machine, and it gives you a voucher for your deposit, and you're supposed to spend it in there on more bottles.

So you buy more bottles, and you pay a deposit on them, and then you go back with the empty bottles later, and you put them in the machine, and it gives you another voucher, and you spend that there.

No matter how efficient you are, you're going to have some empty bottles in your house in a bag somewhere, waiting until there's enough for your next trip to the bottles deposit system, and you're never going to get that back.

Whoever's in charge of your estate isn't going to go into the house and say, "Oh, there's a load of bottles there.

As this person's executor, I'm not going to bring half a bag of bottles down to the supermarket.

So no, I'll just chuck them in the bin." No matter how good you are with your bottle recycling, you're going to end up losing out at the end of your life.

There's gonna be half a bag there that you never get your deposit back on, and whoever owns this deposit system is going to profit from that.
