I'm Jeremy Siegel, and today, a Massachusetts trial that's captured the attention of the nation.

We are following breaking news from Plymouth, Massachusetts, where closing arguments are next to come in the murder trial of Lindsay Clancy.

The heated clash in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial, accused of killing her three young children.

Clancy has pleaded not guilty in the 2023 deaths of her three young children.

Her lawyers argue she was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis.

Lindsay Clancy is a 32-year-old Duxbury mother charged with three counts of first-degree murder.

Clancy is accused of strangling her three young children, a five-year-old, three-year-old, and eight-month-old, at her family's home in January of 2023.

Closing arguments in the case wrapped up this week, and the jury is now deliberating.

Prosecutors argued that she acted intentionally and bears full responsibility for their deaths.

The defense does not dispute that Clancy killed the children, but says she shouldn't be held criminally responsible because she had postpartum psychosis, a rare mental illness linked to the stress, sleep deprivation, and hormonal changes that follow childbirth.

Much of the trial has centered around postpartum psychosis and has sparked outrage from observers on both sides of the courtroom.
