In Western Mass, another organization is working to increase access to care in rural communities

We don't often think about Massachusetts being rural, but basically everything left or west of the 91 corridor is, you know, Berkshire Hills and some other areas where there are really, there's a lack of services for families.

Before she worked for It Takes a Village, she was a patient who got help from the organization

Well, I was a family who was isolated in the rural area of Western Mass, and somebody from It Takes a Village was-- I had a home visit volunteer.

You know, they had some concerns, and they suggested that I see my doctor.

That really was life-changing for me.
