Episode 222: This Is Your Power

How do you like men watching it now? And did Kira watch this with

you? Yes, she did.

She hadn't seen it in theaters.

We watched it over two nights.

Typical dad style.

And yeah, I really didn't like this movie when I first saw it.

In the theater, I was just like, because Alex Garland's my sci-fi guy, right? I go for him for those ideas.

And he's moved out of that with Civil War a little bit.

Yeah.

That's still technically

speculative.

It is

speculative science fiction.

And I haven't seen Warfare, which is actually based on a true story.

And now he's going to be going into...

Elden Ring, right? With fantasy.

Crazy

fantasy.

With some science shit in it.

Watching this now, it's more interesting to me because of the Elden Ring of it all.

I'm like, okay, he's going to be kind of getting into this.

And then reading a little bit about it, it made me respect it more.

uh or at least empathize with where he's coming like in terms of the green man and all that kind of shit i don't know if you guys read any of the trivia i didn't read about

it and i need you to help me talk about the green man if you read about it

yeah so the green man that's what the creature is basically it's this fucking mythological thing in england It makes me think of like the Green Knight and stuff like that.
