Um, but I wonder, was there ever outings on set that were more exciting than others? Like, were there sets you went to when you were a kid that stand out in your memory?

I think we visited the Spy Kids set-

when my sister was really little, and she was obsessed with Spy Kids, and I was a little bit like too cool at that time, but [laughs] but she was-

I actually watched Spy Kids for the first time this summer.

It's a great movie.

It's a classic.

You saw Troublemaker Productions, the production that brought us Sin City.

Yeah, they do, in fact, also bring you Spy Kids.

Nothing, no, no, you know, deep connection, but I knew she was the Spy Kids girl.

So I, I, I went to her window after Bible study, and I knocked on the window, and I said, "Hey, I just gotta let you know, uh, oh, shiitake mushrooms."

And that's, like, the one line from Spy Kids that...

And she looked at me, and she was like, [laughs] "Uh, thank you so much."

She's heard that.

You know?

A common misconception.

Sharkboy and Lavagirl were different than Spy Kids, but they did come out around the same time.

I know that both movies were made by the same guy.

literally thought you were doing like a version, in quotes, of the Spy Kids.

Um, yeah, no, it w- everything was, was practical, and I think that's also why Spy Kids 3 was just so disconnected.

One, it was never supposed to be a Spy Kids movie.
