God of the Immeasurably More | Jack Driver-Szekely | HTB Livestream by HTB Church
Jack Driver-SzekelyHostWhen you're kind of in the business or in the arena of preaching often, uh, I tend to get asked this question quite a lot: how do you get your inspiration? You know, outside of the Bible, obviously that's a given, but how do you come up with, well, what to say? If you've got 20 minutes to say something, what do you say? Now, the idea behind today's message actually stems from an email that I received a number of weeks ago when a picture was given to me, and this picture, at the time, sort of made sense.
'Cause it's always important, isn't it, to recognize the context around a picture? If someone gives you a picture or you've had a thought, now, you always need to understand the context around it.
Like for example, um, behind me is the, one of my favorite photos on my phone.
Now, the reason it's one of my favorite photos on my phone, that is because it, in that exact moment, I was elbowed awake to the words, "Are you ready to be a dad?" See, my wife had just gone into labor with our first child, and this was the moment when I knew it's happening.
