Helen Silver-MacMahonHostthoughts oh she just just gives me so much energy i just love listening to her i know she's just just got so much um energy and i love the fact that she kind of brings a bit of drama with her and yeah she just really buoys you up doesn't she when you listen to her or talk to her she's

just really fun as well like and and we had a lot of giggles um recording that there were moments which i don't know if they'll make the cut or not probably not where we had to stop the hoover
and the dog came home from work but i love that i absolutely love it because it's

keeping it real and keeping it human exactly yeah and i just think you know what i left that after we recorded that podcast i went for a walk with um with pip And I just, I still am totally blown away by how much we can learn from industries which we just don't think there is any overlap with.

You know, I mean, who thinks in the corporate world or in the medical world that there could possibly be any overlap with... improv and it makes so much sense
it makes so much sense that we're all improvising a lot of the time and some of our most high pressure pressured high stakes moments are have to be pure improvisation so why not drill down on how we can do that better and yeah you know um just get more comfortable with the uncomfortable i think she said that didn't she um And

just the whole philosophy of it, right? That you've got to have really strong connection with your team.

Like all of these kind of skills that she was sharing with us that they use in the improv world.

I was thinking oh my goodness yeah that's that's kind of what we try and what we relay in our in our training but also is everything that we know you need to achieve to have a high performing team in every other discipline so yeah it just makes just makes perfect sense really.
And I love the – when she was talking about, yes, Anne, the whole acceptance of somebody's reality before you then bring in your perspective.
I really like, you know, that kind of – I don't know, it feels kind of humble, like the whole – Yeah, I see you, you know, I'm acknowledging your perspective.
And I must admit, when I first heard her talk about it, I was definitely the person who said, yes, and.
Now I'm glad that she's kind of explained that a bit more so that I'll actually be able to use it.

But I think it probably is one of the most important things Things to remember.
