But there are things in life that are worth fighting for.
We all know this, fighting for our marriage, fighting for our family, fighting for our future, fighting injustice.
There are a number of things in life, like careers and opportunities and the things that we believe that God has called us to build.
Rightly so, there are things in life worth us giving ourselves to, worth making sacrifices for, preserving when the journey gets difficult.
But what I have discovered even at GYG, is not every fight is a good fight, right? We know this, you know this, right? Some of us will spend 20 minutes arguing about the right way to stack the dishwasher.
Friends, it's not a good fight, right? Some of us will haunt the prepubescent McDonald's worker because you got five nuggets instead of six.
You will...
But there are some fights in this life that are just not worth your time, energy, effort, emotions.
There are some things that are just not worth the fight.
And I know that you know this because of this.
I mean, that is what I said earlier.
But if you want to just jump to the next slide.
Some fights are just not worth it.
Backtrack with me.
Imagine this was a surprise.
I know that you have engaged in fights that are not good fights because of this game.
My brother-in-law, Ned Welsh, is like he was growing in a government lab to be a human troll.
And he one time would play Monopoly, and he one time, he said, Ryan, yes, I'll absolutely sell this property to you, but I will take payment now, and you've gotta go the whole way around the board until I give you the property.
That's not a rule.
I know it's not a rule, because we spent an hour and a half discussing how that's not a rule.
I reckon, statistic that I made up, 90% of games of Monopoly don't actually end.
in anything but a fight.
You come around this thing and here's the thing, it's fake.
It's not even real money.
