You know what? I wanted to touch on this subject before we dive into your story, you know?

Um, so Friday was September 11th, which marked 25 years, um, since the World Trade Center got hit with those airplanes.
Yeah.
And 25 years ago, you were potentially still fighting your case.
Do you remember where you were at?
Well, I was in, in, uh, bu- getting busted in 2000, February 2000.
And so, yeah, I was busted.
I, I, I, I, I don't, I was s- no, I was already in, what was it in 2001?
Yeah.
Yeah, I was, I was on my way.
I was on my way to prison.
Do you remember, i- you know, do you remember that day? I mean, did they show it-
Yeah, yeah.
It, it-
... on the news?
Yeah, it was all over the news.
It was on every TV in, in jail and, um, I remember that day because my grandma's birthday's that day, and she said those damn terrorists ruined her birthday.
Yeah.
You know? So, you know, I-

Every time it comes around, I think of her.
She ain't no longer here, but she [laughs] she, she was mad at them for ruining her birthday.
