I don't count the little cow town in Susanville that I don't remember.

Or cow town in California, Susanville.

Susanville, California is the name of the town? Where is it? North of Reno, up in the mountains.

Northern Cal?

High desert, lots of cattle, and there's like three federal prisons.

Not too bad.

So that's why it really fit for me because it's very much like Cheyenne and Laramie combined.

And Susanville is just down the road so you can throw those criminals in prison.

I'm from Seattle, but I'm going to be coming down there in a few days.

I'm going to start in Susanville, California at the Sierra Theater, which is a theater represented on the poster for the film.

And then I'm going to be going to Berkeley for an interview.

going to be showing at the Balboa, and then at the Rialto and Sebastopol, the Rialto and Berkeley, and the Smith and San Rafael.

I mean, I grew up in the Bay Area in Oakland, and then my wife drug me up to Northern California, to Susanville, California, to the Susanville Indian Rancheria.

So I've been here since 96, and I remember visiting here for the first time, and I'm like, I don't think I can ever live here, but...

Here we are.

And he's like, yeah, I've never seen the ocean before.

Because he was just standing.

I thought he was like... sad or something but it was more of a like a happy sadness is like i yeah i can't believe i'm standing right here looking at the pacific ocean and i kind of took that in like wow that's thank you for sharing that i wouldn't have known that because he it took him a minute to get in it but he just wanted to stand there and suck it all up and i was i was just blown away that he's only known Susanville in the Lassen County area, maybe gone to Reno or Reading or somewhere, but never went anywhere further than that.

Yeah.

But anyway...

I take it you saw it in Susanville?

Yeah, it was like in the smallest closet theater way in the back, but it was still good.

I didn't know this was an IMAX because I thought the cinematography was awesome.

kind of explanation but that's like the truth that's how i yeah

that's how and i love hearing it i mean what an adventure and what a sense of adventure you had to just i mean that takes some gumption as they say down south to do something like that just to you know up stakes and go to somewhere that you don't really know anything about i mean you were there for a short time but knew you had to go back and that's the way i feel about it the first time i ever saw shasta in person I was moving from Las Vegas to Portland, Oregon, and I'd spent the night in Susanville, California, and then got up early the next morning and got out behind the snowplow.

This was in January, so it was a ton of snow up there.

And saw Mount Shasta just as day was beginning to break.

I don't, it was somewhere around here.

I think Susanville.

I believe it was out in Susanville.

So it was mom and dad, me, my older sister and older brother and little brother.

And then my, she invited her brother and his wife and their two little kids.
