It's all over. The NHL playoffs are in full swing, and the New York Islanders managed to find their way on the outside looking in. Sean & Arthur look back on the season that was with an eye on what…
So I'm gonna rattle off some numbers here, as, as we do here on the show sometimes.
And, uh, you know, before the season, you might've said, "Yeah, I could see that, probably." And then the season started after they opened 0-3, and they basically said, "Hold on a second, guys.
We're, we're a little bit better than you thought." And they have, uh, an excellent season, again, for the, for th- about three-quarters' worth, and uh, it goes south.
That was the most in the league, but all for naught because it didn't even result in a playoff berth.

And for me, Arthur, the good vibes lasted through essentially St. Patrick's Day.
That was a, uh, 3-1 win over Toronto, and then on the 19th was that game against Ottawa.
And, uh, they took care of Toronto because they're not a very good hockey team.
But then they went into Ottawa, and it looked like they were gonna come away with a- at least a point.
You're gonna have no points tonight." And from that point on, that is when the, the wheels fell off the bus here.
And I don't know if, if that game or the way that game ended is, is the reason why.
