THE POWER OF THE CHURCH IN THE CITY - Bec O'Brien

Are we doing good, church? I really believe this morning That God wants to stir something afresh and new within us.

My message today is very simple.

It's about the power of the church in our city.

And I believe the Holy Spirit wants to remind us who we are, what we carry, and why God has placed us in this city.

And so my prayer today is that the Holy Spirit would speak through me.

And that he would remind you of who you are.

Amen? Because we are the church of Jesus Christ.

I love the church.

The church is God's idea.

And there's something powerful that happens when we gather to worship.

When we gather around his word.

When we pray the name of Jesus over this world, when we come together and we're equipped and we're strengthened, there's something powerful when we gather as the church.

But ultimately, we gather so that we can be sent.

The church doesn't stop being the church when the final song finishes.

Wherever we go, the church goes because the church is us.

Are we getting this this morning? We are the church.

I mean, when we walk out of here into our homes, into our workplace, into our schools, wherever we go, the church goes because Christ is in us.

And I believe that the power of the church is seen when ordinary believers carry the presence of Jesus into ordinary places.

And so this morning, we're going to turn to the book of Acts 3.
