Break the Chains of Discouragement - Kety Samways

You know, Romans 15, 13, it says, May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him so that you may overflow with hope.

Somebody say, overflow with hope.

by the power of the Holy Spirit.

You know, when Paul wrote those words, he wrote them to the church in Rome to encourage them, to encourage them in their faith, to encourage them in unity.

And I believe that God wants to encourage us this morning.

He wants to encourage us to be filled With all joy, and I love that the scripture says all joy, not just some joy, but all joy and peace.

And he doesn't say that he will fill us with hope so that we may overflow with hope.

What an incredible scripture.

But I wonder how many of you here, you have been discouraged at some point in life.

Can you raise your hands? I mean, pretty much everyone.

I mean, a few people are like sitting and, I mean, I think you guys are lying.

I believe that we have all been discouraged in life at some point.

And we can be discouraged in so, so many ways.

You know, we can be discouraged relationally.

We can be discouraged, you know, in our families.

Maybe there has been a conflict in your family or maybe discouraged in your friendships.

Or maybe, you know, some here you've been discouraged in your relationship with a person you liked.

You've asked that hot girl to go on a date and she said no.

I mean, that's discouraging.

Or maybe your boyfriend broke up with you and you feel discouraged.

But can I say praise God because a better one is coming in the name of Jesus.

Come on.

All the single ladies and men in the house say amen.

But we can be discouraged relationally.

We can also face discouragement financially.
