BLESSING is a big deal in the Bible! - Steve Wheeler

Have you ever felt guilty for asking God to bless you? Or have you wondered why some people seem to walk in incredible favor while others feel stuck under a constant cloud of bad luck or generational "curses"? If you are a young adult in the Upper Highway or Pinetown area trying to figure out what God *actually* wants for your life, this message is for you. Blessing isn't a prosperity gimmick; it is a massive, foundational theme that runs from Genesis to Revelation. In this message, Steve Wheeler connects the dots between the Prayer of Jabez, the Aaronic Blessing, and the famous Beatitudes in Matthew 5. We look at how God has always intended to bless His people—and how Jesus finally reversed the curse of the Law so we could walk in absolute favor. **In this video, we explore:** - **The Original Intent (Genesis 1):** Why God's very first interaction with humanity was to bless them. - **The Curse of the Law (Deuteronomy 28):** Understanding why the Old Covenant was so heavy on curses, and how Jesus became a curse for us (Galatians 3). - **The Power of Belief:** Why you don't need to muster up "white-knuckle faith"—you simply need to agree with the faith Jesus already has for you. - **The Beatitudes (Matthew 5):** Why mourning, feeling poor in spirit, or facing persecution does *not* mean you are cursed. - **Speaking to the Mountain (Mark 11):** How to command the "fig trees" and obstacles in your life to wither from the roots. You are a human *believer*, not a human *doer*. It's time to stop shrinking back and start audaciously praying for God's blessing over your life, your family, and your future.
